I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I started reading Alizarin Crimson. My wife had only read the first chapter when I stole it from her, but she seemed to be enjoying it enough to spark my dalliance into larceny (though she bought it on my Amazon account so it might technically be mine).

Alizarin Crimson reeled me in. I loved every minute of the read and was quite sad that the sequel has yet to be released. If you like a pretty quick moving modern fantasy this book is for you. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say the writing and story flow was so smooth that I finished the book far quicker than I had planned.

It's clear that the author is writing what she knows. Aside from the fantasy/magical elements that I don't think the author has personal experienced (thought I could be wrong) she obviously has a deep love of art, both written and visual. Specifically her love of Vencent Van Gogh shines brightly throughout this book.

Excuse the rather wandering review. The long and short of it though is that I cannot recommend this book enough to any lover of fiction.

Alizarin Crimson was definitely a page turner! The author did such a great job captivating the audience and introducing them to the Aolian world. The story is creative, enthralling, and full of intrigue! I can’t wait for the second book in the series to come out.
Should be asleep- seminary comes early tomorrow, but I couldn't put it down. Loved the strong heroine and the romance woven throughout. Will be waiting anxiously for the next one. You rocked it Erica. Congratulations on an awesome and unique read. 😍
From the moment you open the book, the main character, Aya takes you on a wild journey to find out if she’ll rise up to her true destiny or if the power and the tie to Vincent Van Gogh will ultimately destroy her. It’s truly a work of art and I can’t wait for book number two.
It’s lovely and thrilling. It’s X-men meet Gilmore Girls in art history class. I’m excited for the next book and for what Aya will do next.
Not my typical genre but I found myself thinking about the characters throughout the day until I could get back to reading. Easy to follow and enjoy without having to think too hard. Nice and enjoyable.
This book is fast pace reading, with new adventures literally around every corner. The author was able to capture my imgination with her very descriptive writing and fresh story line that made it hard for me to put down my cellphone, as I had purchased the verson. With all of the comic book Marvel characters coming back, I could easily see this series turning into a movie, because of it's fresh new approach to everyday super hero's developing their own Talents.
The book starts off with a young art student on scholarship happy to
be where she is. When she miraculously saves the life of a child, her world turns upside down. From that moment the pace picks up, builds and builds until the end. I read into the wee hours of the night, unable to stop until the end. Will be anxiously awaiting the next. in series
